Cities With Wings
Space-share project for a more liveable city (eventually).
Space-share project for a more liveable city (eventually).
Eventually this will be a space in the city for people to come together and do projects that improve the space and the community around - and in return you get free rent. Right now it's just me - one guy with an apartment - wanting to test-drive the idea and see if it will work.

At the moment there is one available bedroom - a space for one person (or two if you're a couple) to live comfortably. Length of stay is between 1 and 4 weeks. Currently I'm using Workaway as the primary platform to reach out to potential participants. Click here to see the page on the Workaway platform.
The beautiful nitty-gritty of life is in the details.
You work on the project for the entire duration of your stay. We'll be in touch every couple of days to assess progress, check if there are any issues, and if yes figure out how to resolve them.
The end is just as important as the beginning. We'll look at what was done, what worked and what didn't, come up with a post about the experience, publish it in the portfolio-blog, and celebrate the project's conclusion.
What if you need a substantial budget to make the project happen? What if you have special needs? What if things go wrong? What if you have an emergency and need to leave early? Or you hate everything and just want to take off?
Ownership, communication, humility, community, results.
Ownership - You own your project, you and no one else. Don't wait for anyone to tell you what to do - go out and do it or communicate your intended direciton.
Communication - The more, the better: we need to be on the same page as much as possible. So seek feedback, share opinions, notify of any issues right away. Communication, however cannot become a thing in itself, taking so much time that you stop advancing (unless your project is on communication).
Humility - If someone needs help - step right in and offer it, and be ready to be asked for help. Provide feedback and be ready to receive feedback.
Community - We're in this together and it's entirely in our power to create something unforgettable. Let's remember this and support each other.
Results - We are here to learn, and to learn we need to measure, notice, and reflect. Again, the end is just as important as the beginning, and we always want to keep the initial goals in view.
